Job Description and Tasks:
Cyber security engineer responsible for maintaining and building security tools, primarily tier 3 troubleshooting and engineering for vulnerability scanning tools
Be able to manage daily operations and administrating of servers, while following change management guidance and policies
Work with other teams to coordinate project and security tool maintenance, buildout, and troubleshooting as needed
Job Requirements/Required Skills:
The candidate must have Linux experience, CentOS/RHEL preferred
Familiarity with Tenable Nessus / SC / IO or similar vulnerability scanning product preferred but not required
Familiarity/experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) preferred but not required
Ability to work and communicate in a team setting, take direction from multiple sources and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with project maintenance, to include documentation, coordination, and handoff of project artifacts to key personnel
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
3-5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity engineering
Hands on experience with Windows/Linux operations to include configuration, maintenance, and management
Cybersecurity Certifications: At least one of the following: CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GIAC, SSCP, Security+ (or equivalent as approved by the Government)
