Jira/Confluence Administrator and Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking an experienced Jira/Confluence Administrator and Subject Matter Expert who will be responsible for an analysis of alternatives for a federal agency. The Jira/Confluence SME will work with the Federal client to solicit, analyze and document client needs and use cases to make best practice recommendations for migration over to alternative and comparable platforms.  They will work within a team to perform the following:
  • Lead the discovery with business stakeholders to identify requirements and use cases
  • Work with the internal project team and client team.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively within a group setting.
  • Develop and perform appropriate analyses of alternatives and provides explanations of analysis methods, assumptions made, and assists in interpretation of results and implications therein.
  • Work with Project Manager to create a ROM and Roadmap for migration over to platform alternatives.
  • Design and develop business reporting of data to drive useful insights that can be included in technical presentations.
  • Identify and analyze trends in a variety of data sources to develop improvements for processes, forecasting and planning.
  • Assist Microsoft Team with POC and demos to business stakeholders.
Required Skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience with the Administration of Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with creating Stories, Epics, Tasks and subtasks.
  • Must be able to create, manage and track tasks in Kanban Board
  • Must be able to manage JIRA Kanban Board. White board, Software development and Reporting
  • Must be able to design to visualize work, limit work-in-progress, and maximize efficiency so the Management has visibility on the progress.
  • Experience adding additional plug-ins and components
  • Must have knowledge of JIRA core offerings:
    • Jira Software.
    • Project and issue tracking.
    • Jira Service management and Work Management.
    • Confluence and Document collaboration.
    • Manage Atlassian Jira user groups and project roles.
    • Build and configure Jira workflows.
    • Configure boards for multiple audiences.
    • Configure Dashboards for the key stakeholders.
    • Configure issue fields.
    • Knowledge of basic and advanced filters and Jira add-ons
  • Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
  • Active Federal government public trust clearance
  • Experience managing Jira / Confluence for federal government customers.
