The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will work within the Cloud Infrastructure team to perform the stand-up of the Microsoft Cloud environment and onboard products for a federal agency. As an Azure Virtual Desktop expert, work with technical leads and cloud architects to provide input and hands-on management in the areas of Session Hosts, Virtual Networks, Express Routes, Network Security Groups, Firewalls, Azure File Storage, Load-balancing, and Azure Virtual Desktop. Responsibilities include:
Help plan, manage, and administer enterprise Azure subscriptions for multiple business units across a large-scale enterprise
Create, configure, and host pools, application groups, workspaces, scaling plans, file storage, key vaults, and virtual machines
Implement golden image design and compute gallery
Implement and harden Azure Virtual Desktop security configurations
Develop policies to manage Fslogix profiles
Work with stakeholders to develop and implement Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions
Create and manage internal service health response plans and integration with enterprise monitoring tools
Required Skills
At least 3 years of Microsoft-based architecture and infrastructure experience
At least 2 years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, and infrastructure support for the enablement of large enterprise-wide Azure environments
Experience and understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, OData, OpenID Connect, Microsoft identities (including Azure AD and Microsoft accounts), Azure AD B2C, and permission/consent concepts
In-depth understanding and knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Bicep and Azure Automange guest configuration
Must be a US Citizen

Experience supporting federal government customers
Active federal government public trust clearance
Any of the following Microsoft certifications:
Azure Administrator
Azure Security Engineer
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
