We are seeking an Information Security Engineer for a contracting role onsite in Washington, DC.
  • Engage OIG System Owners and their teams to develop and document security baseline for assets operating on the OIG network. 
  • Engage OIG System Owners and their teams in the assessment and analysis leading up to threshold recommendations and deviation alerts/reporting. 
  • Document recommendations for thresholds that trigger notifications to the SOC/Risk Dashboard and provide documentation and rationale for each threshold. 
  • Combine the thresholds into an OIG Security Baseline document that will be updated periodically or at the request of the COR. 
  • Assist with implementation of the baseline, and remediation and/or mitigation of baseline deviations as requested by COR. 
  • Monitor for baseline deviations using the baseline and the tools provided by OIG, at the request of the COR. 
  • Track deviations, assist with deviation/waiver requests and assist with POA&M creation for ongoing deviations, and prepare reports monthly or as requested by the COR. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation of process/Standard Operating Procedure for security baseline development and maintenance in an access-controlled portal on the customer’s intranet.
