JAVA/J2EE ENGINEER

We are seeking Mid and Senior-Level Java/J2EE Developers for a multi-year Government contract in Alexandria, VA. All applicants must be U.S Citizens able to pass a background check.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Design and implement J2EE software applications in Weblogic\ WebSphere Application Server \JBoss
  • Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies including Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD), and Atlasian Products (Jira, Confluence)
  • Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
  • Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology
 
Primary Skills Required
  • Experience working with users to define requirements and demonstrate solutions
  • Experience designing and delivering complex, highly-scalable software components
  • HTML\Javascript\CSS\JQuery
  • JSP\Servlets
  • Struts
  • EJBS or Srping
  • Web services
  • SQL
  • XML
  • Unix/ Linux
  • JEE Server experience (like Weblogic\Websphere\JBOSS\etc.)
  • JMS 
  • JDBC
     

Other Position Requirements Preferred
  • Developing 100% automating unit tests
  • Using eclipse/RAD
  • Agile development approach
  • Good communication skills (writing and presenting)
  • Team leadership skills including task planning, assignment and management
 
  
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Mid Level Position: 5-9 years experience
  • Senior Level Position 10+ years
 
 
Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • A secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance, is required.
  • Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
