We are seeking a Project Manager with 10 years of experience for a position in Washington, DC.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate project/program initiatives.
  • Serve as the single point of contact regarding projects for which individual is responsible.
  • Define the scope of work associated with projects identified by first determining the requirements of the projects.
  • Determine project process, establish project team, and ensure understanding of roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate project management functions, including schedule management, resource management, change management, risk management and issue management. 
  • Provided detailed guidance to stakeholders regarding project plans.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects according to procedures, schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare project execution plans and identify appropriate resources and expertise needed for the team.
  • Establish and monitor project schedules and budgets ensure routine updates and reporting.
  • Ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and according to requirements.
  • Prepare a structured Communications Plan that ensures appropriate information dissemination throughout the team, stakeholders and management.
  • Using clear and open communication, become a trusted advisor to the customer, seeking strong integration with the overall customer team. 
  • Provide stakeholder management, identifying and ensuring successful collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Manage vendors and stakeholders for furniture, equipment, phone, network, printer set-up, and other IT needs on the project and coordinate these activities with the project schedule.
  • Oversee agenda and documentation of project team meetings and lead meetings to review project plans.
  • Prepare and present project information for management decisions.
  • Capture and document risks, issues, findings, recommend solutions, and manage the escalation process.
  • Lead mitigation planning efforts for critical path items.
  • Manage artifacts and records development as needed supporting program management.
  • Quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Establish excellent rapport with client, stakeholders and team and successfully navigate issues.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and create recommendations to identify and address successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent and 10+ years professional experience.
  • Must have an active TS clearance; SCI preferred. Must be able to obtain a DOE Q and SCI clearance.
  • Experience navigating throughout the Federal Government.
  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, solid work ethic.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct research and analysis to discern and address the root cause of project-related issues.
  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience working in a classified environment and with a classified IT infrastructure.
