Sr. Network Engineer

Clearfocus Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer for a full time opening in Washington, DC.  The Network Engineer will be responsible for general network support to all local networks. Also, the person will support the enterprise network infrastructure related to remote laboratories that may be connected to the network.  All applicants must be Natural Born U.S Citizens (candidate, parents, siblings, ETC) and hold an active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI. All applicants must be processed for the Q clearance.

  • Configure, upgrade and key General Dynamic’s encryptors – Gulf, Micro, GigE
  • Be able to upgrade and configure layer 3 Cisco network equipment
  • Chair and coordinate Enterprise Network Board meetings
  • Provide Network representation in all Configuration Management, Information Security Review
  • Board, and Maintenance Review Board Meetings
  • Provide Peer review for all significant network changes
  • Extensive knowledge troubleshooting General Dynamics TACLANE
  • Extensive knowledge setting up VLAN switching and routing
  • Experience with Polycom RMX, CMA, Lync, and VTC endpoints
  • Experience with Orion Solarwinds, HP Openview, or Cisco Works network monitoring software
  • Testing and termination of copper and fiber cabling
  • Ensure current and accurate Enterprise level documentation
  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports
  • Provide network metrics reflecting compliance with SLA’s
  • Mentor and coach lower level network engineers through complex tasks
  • Familiar with Visio to create network diagrams
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite to create network documentation
  • Familiar with using a Microsoft SharePoint site to store and view documentation
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with 9 years of overall related experience or 13 years without a degree
  • Possession of a Cisco CCNA or CCNP within the networking field
  • Ability to install, configure and manage General Dynamics GEM X software
  • TACLANE Training
  • Able to configure and manage DHCP servers
  • Able to configure and manage DNS
  • Solar Winds Network Monitor setup and maintenance
  • A DoD TS clearance is required. An SCI or DOE Q clearance is strongly desired
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  •   Additional network certifications are a plus for this individual;
  • Cisco and Solar Winds experience are also highly desired skills.
